Virtual Reality Helps with Poor Sight

Virtual Reality  Helps with Poor Sight

Many of you may have seen the Morning BBC News programme on 2 December with  Stan Karpenko discussing the use of the

new Virtual reality headsets to help people with poor vision.

You can watch it again from this link

Or Perhaps Augmented Reality may be a better term as this device enhances

the real word assisting the vision

More information on this can be found at

www.givevision.net

They are happy to offer a free trial of the device.

I think this is a very exciting development which has evolved from the investment that has been made in the virtual reality headsets that gamers us so much these combined with maturation of the Smart Phone.

I think we will see a number of different manufactures now developing such devices to help people with poor vision.

The early designs seem very much to be adaptations of current gaming hardware but I am sure that manufactures will produce devices that

are much more fashionable and acceptable to wear.
