Audit of Mr Lee Post op Cataract Results.
Below is the live audit done on Friday November 9th of the Post operative auto- refractions and subjective refractions on 157 consecutive patients of mine having had Hoya IOL inserted.
While the Laser and Swept source Biometers are very accurate the variability of post op refraction is related to the position of the lens in the eye. This is something that cannot be predicted and accounts for the variations seen.
This exceeds the Royal College Guidelines on Cataract surgery which is at least 85% of patients should achieve +/- One dioptre, we achieve 95% in my private practice and 92% in my NHS Practice (796 Patients). Both well above the College standards.

Below is current graph of the past 157 Patients in my private practice. A slight hyperopic shift was noted earlier in the year both in my NHS practice and privately and the A constant has been increased slightly to compensate for this.
