Advanced Prelimary Testing at The Lee Medical Practice
Mr. Lee is pleased to announce that at Blaire House he has bought the most advanced Prelim machine.
PreLims is where the Ophthalmic Technician takes your vision, tests your pressure, takes your history prior to seeing the Doctor.
At The Lee Medical Practice in Denham Michele will meet you, take a short history and then undertake the PreLims prior to seeing Mr. Lee.
The New Visionix Machine so impressed Mr. Lee at OptoFair that he visited in April that he bought this for his patients in the Practice.
It undertakes 7 separate tests on the eye in Under a minute providing very valuable information, so of which was not available before, for Mr. Lee.
Visionix Provides the following information
1. Autorefraction - This is an objective test of your prescription or need for glasses
2 Corneal Topography - This looks at the curvature and shape of the surface of your eye - It can detect abnormalities of the cornea
3. Corneal Pachymetry which measures the thickness of the cornea important in Glaucoma
4. Scheimpflug image which is a cross section image of the front of the eye measuring the Iris angle important in Glaucoma workup
5. Pupillometry measuring the size and dilation of the pupil
6. Wave Front analysis a highly sophisticated measure of the quality of your optical system looking at how light enters and leaves the eye
7. Tonometry (or the Eye Pressure - IOP) that is corrected for corneal thickness (the first machine to do this automatically)
8. Cataract Level analysis - giving indication of the amount of lens opacity or cataract present.
Technology has advanced and what they have managed to put into one machine is truly amazing.
The report gives the most comprehensive overview of your eye on the market and is most useful for Mr. Lee to discuss with you.
