Home monitoring for Eye diseases. - DigiSight

Mr. Lee is pleased to have joined the DigiSight network which enables patients to undertake eye tests at home to monitor there eye condition on a weekly basis.

Early detection of eye disease or changes is key to preserving and keeping ones vision. Unfortunately you cannot visit the doctors office every week. The answer is to be able to check your own vision in the comfort of your own home.

This is particularly valuable for wet Age related macular degeneration patients where recurrences can occur very quickly and vision can be lost very quickly. Being able to pick up early changes allows earlier treatment and obviously better outcomes.

DigiSight is a validated eye test that runs on an Iphone or Ipad. (Android is expected next year) It takes just 2 minutes to do.

The eye test results are then displayed on Mr. Lee's DigiSight Dashboard.

Should the patients vision alter significantly and alert is sent by email to Mr. Lee as well as notifying the patient that an office visit is needed.

The Programme is free to install and use.

Having used this new application I am finding its use is not only with Age related macular degeneration patients where early treatment is key to success, But also with any other eye condition

that needs to have ones vision regularly checked between office visits.
